Holidays in Bolivia
A holiday called Alasitas in La Paz on January 24th.This festival is of small wishes.On January 24th the streets,the fair,and celebration dominate in downtown La Paz. Devotees buy miniature of items they would like to own and offer them to Ekeko,God of Plenty.
Another Holiday celebrated in Bolivia is Semana Santa-Fiesta in Copacabano March/April.There is Easter in the United States but in Bolivia they call this Semana Santa. Copacabano is the common place where hundreds of pilgrims arrive in La Paz on Good Friday.There are many other holiday celebrated in Bolivia but mostly the celebrations are surrounded by their religion.
On April 22 we celebrate "Día de la Tierra Día " (Earth Day).On August 6 celebrates Independence Day in Bolivia.
